I’m Alex, an independent freelance web designer.

I build up to five pages around the content you supply, with a target delivery of seven working days once I have your deposit, complete assets and an approved brief.

After launch: 14 days of defect fixes

For 14 days after launch I will fix defects, meaning anything that does not work as described in the agreed brief.

Counts as a defect

  • A broken link or a page that does not display as agreed
  • A layout fault that breaks an agreed page on a phone or computer
  • The agreed enquiry route not working as specified

Does not count

  • New features or extra pages
  • New or changed text, images or other content
  • Changes of mind about the agreed design

Work outside the agreed brief can be quoted separately, with the price agreed before I start.

Costs paid separately

The £1,250 covers my work, including launch setup. Domain registration, ongoing hosting and any third-party subscriptions are paid separately by you, directly to the provider. I will tell you what these cost, and you and I agree them before you commit.

How it works

  1. Brief

    You and I agree the pages, the content you will supply and the one enquiry route. I confirm the brief in writing and you approve it.

  2. Deposit

    You pay the £625 deposit. My delivery target starts only when I have the deposit, your complete assets and the approved brief.

  3. Build

    I build the site from your supplied content, with a target of seven working days.

  4. Revise

    You send consolidated feedback. Two revision rounds are included.

  5. Launch and handover

    After the £625 balance, I launch the site and hand it over. The 14-day defect-fix period starts at launch.

No promises about results

I do not promise search rankings, enquiries or revenue. A website is a foundation; results depend on many factors outside any website package.

Questions

What does “fixed price” cover?

The items listed under “What is included”. Anything outside that list is out of scope unless you and I agree it in writing before work starts.

When does the seven-working-day target start?

Once I have received the £625 deposit, your complete assets and the approved brief. It is a target, not a guarantee, and late content moves the date.

What do I need to supply?

Your text, images, logo and any details you want shown. I edit supplied content for clarity; I do not write a whole site from scratch under this package.

Who pays for the domain and hosting?

You do, directly to the provider, along with any third-party subscriptions. I will explain the costs and you and I agree them before you commit. Launch setup is included in the price.

How do payments work?

£625 deposit to begin and £625 balance before launch. Payment instructions are supplied with the agreed proposal or invoice.

Is VAT charged?

No. I am not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on the £1,250.

How do I get in touch?

Use the “Discuss your website” link, which opens your email app addressed to info@albertwebdesign.com with the subject “Website project enquiry”. You can also write to that address yourself. There is no form on this page.

How is my personal information handled?

If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and I use it to reply to your enquiry. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also handles technical visitor data such as IP addresses. The privacy information linked in the footer explains more.
